Hi, I’m Woody Carlson and I’ve been doing afternoon drive now for
almost a year at Sunny 94.1 WSOS. I’m so glad to be back in St.
Augustine after so many years away. Years ago I spent time in Crescent
Beach, St. Augustine Beach, The South, The Shores and even downtown.
After moving away in 1989, I find myself back to my “Home Away From
Home” nearly 20 years later Married with Children!

It’s nice to see some things haven’t changed: Sunset Grill, Oasis,
White Lion, Music Matters, Gypsy Cab and Tradewinds to name a few.
It’s also sad to see some of my old favorite places are gone: Alicia’s
Italian Restaurant, Passport Joe’s, Churchill’s Attic, and Fiddler’s.
And the Ponce Mall just isn’t the same anymore. I remember bringing
Buffalo Bob and Howdy Doody, Richard Simmons and two stars of the old
show Head of the Class (Krystyne Haje and Michael Delorenzo) for shows
and appearances. That place used to be hoppin’!! The times they are
a changing… and I’m so glad to be back living in the Nations Oldest
City. I look forward to seeing old friends and making many new ones.

I was a part-time professional wrestler for about 10 years. I was known
throughout the world as “Powerhouse” Johnny Hughes. Ok, world may be a
big word… but that’s the story I’m sticking too!
